Back on top

Today me and Melissa hiked Camelback again and this time I made sure to get picture proof I hiked it too! There were quite a few more people up on the mountain today. Last week I guess we arrived right as they re-opened the mountain. They had closed it because a 21 yr old girl fell off one of the cliffs and they had just got done taking her off the mountain... I guess it's good I heard that AFTER I had hiked or I may have been to scared to go up. You don't really go by any cliffs, she must have gone off the normal trail.
We got up the mountain a little faster this time even though Melissa was feeling a little sluggish. Hopefully we will both be more energetic next time. Great hike though!

This shot is of some crazy rock climbers... see the tiny dot on top?

Camelback

Finally some pics to post! On Friday My roommate Melissa and I went for a hike on Camelback Mountain :) (Thats the Mountain I have in my blog title pic) We started at Echo canyon park which is a big set of stairs. Then there is a railing at the next part due to the fact the rocks at that area are a little slick.

This was the next part of the hike where it starts getting a little more challenging and we still had a ways to go and it was something like this the whole rest of the way.

This is Melissa taking a little break at the top of the mountain. What a view! It was a really fun hike for us and we plan to go a lot more. Though we have quite a few other mountains to hike too. We had gone up South Moutain a few weeks before but I forgot my camera, but don't worry we will go back again. :)

Nothing too exciting..

Sorry I haven't posted for a while, I am still alive I just can't get on the comp too much. I haven't been up to too much just working hard on building up my outside of work clients. Other then that i'm just going out with my roommates and their friends to play volleyball, go to yoga classes or just our for a walk to the dog park. I am still trying to get pics of my roommates and the house on the computer but I haven't found my picture program. Hopefully soon, right now i'm just enjoying our wonderful weather and making new friends :)

I'm alive

So i'm almost totally moved into my new home. For those who haven't heard I have split up with Nathan because of some personal differences and I am now moving in with a friend of mine down in Chandler. Melissa, one of my new roommates, is a massage therapist at the same spa as me but she also works at other sites. Her brother, Todd, also lives here, he is a manager at Game Stop. They are nice, laid back people and so far I really enjoy being here. I'm glad to say the move was quick and easy and the pets are adjusting fairly well. I'll post some pics as soon as I can get some batteries for my camera but I thought I'd let you all know I'm alive. hehe Well I hope everyone is having a good holiday season!!

Great change!

So on thursday there was a mandatory all employee meeting where we got to learn how we've been doing and some goals for the end of the year. I was thrilled to learn that by the end of the year our Hyatt will have solar panals over the ball rooms and we will be runnin' on the sun! GO MR.STEVENS!! He has been only been at Hyatt for 6mnth but our new General Manager has already changed so much. We just had all the rooms, meeting rooms and many other areas rennovated, the resort and spa are "Going Green", and so much more! He even has a blog so we can make comment personally to him! (posted in links) Hope sometime you can make it out to experience it all! ..... Oh and there will not be a post from Nathan, :( sorry, but I did finally get a lot of the pics from the Utah trip up on my flickr!

Moab trip highlights

It's always nice to see Mom and Dad, especially when they live in one of the most beautiful places on earth! This pic was taken in their front yard!
We had a great time going out 4x4ing! I took shot off a cliff in Fins and things we were about to drive off! This trail is only rated a 4/9 but I thought it was pretty intense!
We of coarse made it into the always beautiful Arches.
This is a great shot Nathan took of an overview of Castle Valley. Can you find the cow in this pic? hehe

I believe that I took this pic on the Onion Creek Trail. I though it looked like a gorilla, it's got a hole for an eye and he is sitting proud on his pedistal, it even has toes!
We went so many great places and saw so many gorgious sites and yet we left so much out, so we can't wait to go back! I think Nathan and I agree that rafting on the Colorado river was the best part of the trip. I have the site listed in Links so you can go see some picture of us all rafting, The first pic is us gettin soaked! Thanks for a great trip Mom and Dad!!! (Look for a post from Nathan next!)

Utah Trip - Day One

So for the last few days Nathan and I have been up in Castle Valley, Ut visiting my parents. Nathan and I agree it was one of the best vacations we've ever been on.. and we were somewhat sick half the time. (which seems to have passed now that we're home. yay.) Anywho, so this is a shot we took coming into Monument Valley, we though it looked like a hand giving a peace sign. :)
This is a quick shot of the Mexican Hat. Nathan and I were finally enjoying the scenery and yet we had no idea what my parents had in store for us!
I wasn't feelin' so hot when we got there so Dad just took Nathan out onto Hell's Revenge! It's a 4x4 trail rated 6/9.
They had a great time on the trail until they broke the rear axle, but Nathan enjoyed working in the garage with dad to fix it.
The crazy cliffs off Hell's Revenge. No way i'm going up there....
